February: First United Methodist Church-produced musical at Civic Center Theatre.

February or March: Lubbock Lions Club's Pancake Festival at Lubbock Coliseum.

March: Viva Aztlan Ballet Folklorico Contest at Civic Center Theatre.

March: West Texas Native American Association's Pow Wow at the Panhandle-South Plains Fairgrounds.

March or April: ABC Pro Rodeo at Lubbock Coliseum.

March or April: Raider Red's One-Act Play Spectacular at the Charles E. Maedgen Jr. Theatre, Lab Stage, Texas Tech campus.

April: Lubbock Arts Festival at Lubbock Memorial Civic Center.

April: Bigger 'N Texas Garage Sale at the Panhandle-South Plains Fairgrounds.

April: Lubbock Symphony Orchestra's Spring Pops Concert at Municipal Auditorium.

May: Cinco de Mayo Festival/Concert at West Texas Canyon Amphitheater.

May: Lubbock Independent School District's ''Jazz in the Park'' concert at Wagner Park.

May or June: Mariachi Extravaganza at Texas Tech University Center's Allen Theatre.

May-September: Meadows Courtyard concerts at Buddy Holly Center.

June: Cattle Baron's Ball at V-8 Ranch.

June: Llano Wine & Clay Festival at Llano Estacado Winery.

June: Lubbock Summer Rep' season at the Charles E. Maedgen Jr. Theatre, Lab Stage, Texas Tech campus.

June: City of Lubbock's annual Melodrama in the Park at Wagner Park. (Staged by CATS Playhouse).

June-July: Westwinds Brass Band concert series at Wagner Park.

June-August: High Noon Concert Series at Lubbock County Courthouse gazebo.

June or July: Harley Sadler Show at the Garza Theatre in Post.

July: 4th on Broadway (Parade, Street Fair, Concert & Fireworks).

July 4: Buffalo Springs Lake Fireworks Display.

July or August: Boys Ranch Telethon at Cactus Theater.

August: City of Lubbock's annual Shakespeare in the Park at Wagner Park. (A Lubbock Community Theatre production.)

Late August-Early September: ''Not Fade Away: Life & Times of Buddy Holly'' Symposium at Buddy Holly Center and Texas Tech; also Buddy Holly Music festival at Buddy Holly Center and West Texas Canyon Amphitheater.

September: National Cowboy Symposium & Celebration (weekend after the first Monday in September) at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center.

September: Fiesta! at the Garden & Arts Center.

September: Opening of Gene Hemmle Memorial Concert series at Texas Tech's Hemmle Recital Hall.

September: Apple Butter Festival at Apple Country/Hi-Plains Orchard.

September: Fiestas del Llano at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center.

September: Opening of Panhandle-South Plains Fair, a nine-day event.

October: Lubbock Independent School District's ''Band Extravaganza'' at Lowrey Field.

October: Texas Tech School of Music's Scholarship Concerts at Hemmle Recital Hall, Texas Tech campus.

October: Ranch Day at National Ranching Heritage Center.

October: Llano Grape Day Celebration at Llano Estacado Winery.

October: Texas Tech Rodeo at the Lubbock Coliseum.

Late October: ''Day of the Dead'' progressive exhibit at local galleries.

November: Junior League's Holiday Happening at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center.

November and/or December: Texas Tech's Madrigal Dinner at the Texas Tech University Center

December: Carol of Lights ceremony and Carol Concert on Texas Tech campus

December: Lights on Broadway Parade.

December: Candlelight at the Ranch at the National Ranching Heritage Center.

December: Ballet Lubbock's ''The Nutcracker'' at the Civic Center Theatre
