LUBBOCK KARTING
ASSOCIATION> About 35 members; holds races on second weekend each month, with monthly meeting each Thursday before race weekend, and one race per year sanctioned by the World Karting Association. For information, contact LKA president Nathan Wilkins 796-2221.

SOUTH PLAINS
RACING ASSOCIATION

About 30 members; meets first Tuesday of every month; holds annual benefit car show and swap meet; open to car owners, drivers and racing fans. For information, contact Greg Nauert 797-8684 or 763-5642.

WEST TEXAS DIRT TRACK
BOOSTER CLUB

About 120 members; meets first Monday of every month; holds annual benefit car show; helps sponsor races and promote racing. For information, contact president Joe Scott 745-7817 or Lorraine Fleming 863-2019.

IDALOU MOTORSPORTS

21/2 miles south of Idalou on FM 400; drag racing sanctioned by the National Hot Rod Association; season competition in street trophy, heavy, super pro, sportsman, junior dragster classes; weekends; admission: spectator side $5, pit passes $10; for information, 762-0627, 842-3842 (race day only).

LUBBOCK MOTOR
SPEEDWAY

114th Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard; clay track; competition from April to September in sprint, pro stock, street stock, super stock, modifieds; races held on Friday evenings, with some two-night events; admission: $7 adults, $3 children, 3-and-under get in free; Pit pass is $20; for information, call 748-0750.

I-27 SPEEDWORLD

FM 1585 and U.S. 87, Route 6; clay track; former West Texas Speedway; competition from April to September in pro stock, street stock, super stock, bombers, junior bombers, modifieds; races held on Friday and Saturday nights; admission: $6 adults, $2 6-12 year olds, free children under 6.

T-N-T RACEWAY

21/2 miles south of Idalou on FM 400; motocross track; season competition in beginner and advanced classes; weekends; admission $5, free senior citizens and children under 6; for information, call 842-3526.

SLEEPY HOLLOW
RACEWAY> Two miles south of U.S. 114 on FM 2378; asphalt, half-mile road course karting track; year-round racing on a monthly basis; for information, contact LKA president Nathan Wilkins 796-2221.
